This was a speculative concept project with the intent of providing a gateway to the city of Hull. The lagoon development would provide a visitor attraction that was fully interactive and conversant with its natural environment. The structure would provide views across the Humber and social interactive space for exhibitions and events. The multiple levels reflect the results of an earlier ground contour study and their emphasis in the new proposal will highlight space differentiated for a hotel, spa, exhibition spaces, offices and restaurants. In conversation with the key surrounding natural assets, numerous viewing areas were integrated within the proposal along a dedicated public walking trail.
